Christmas Recap

We had such fun with our little Mister this Christmas. Everything from Christmas Eve Mass to reading The Night Before Christmas, spending time with family and seeing Hayden's face light up on Christmas morning made the season so magical. On Christmas Eve we went to the Children's Mass and dinner at Nick's parents' house. I got especially excited about dressing my boys in matching outfits this year- which Nick will have to continue to endure until we have another baby!
Christmas Day was a busy one for us. Knowing that Hayden would be spoiled with gifts from his many relatives, we decided to keep Christmas small at our house. We followed the "something you want, something you need, something to wear, and something to read" saying when buying Hayden's gifts.
Hayden got his a radio flyer car from Santa, which is hands down his favorite toy. He loves to be pushed around in it, as well as just play in it for long periods of time.
We also decided to make him a train board to organize the train tracks that he already owned. I painted a little outdoor scene on a piece of wood and then we assembled his tracks on top.
After opening presents at our house, we headed over to my parents' to open more gifts and have brunch. Hayden also squeezed in a much needed nap before heading on to the next event on our schedule.
As soon as he woke up from his nap, we headed to Nick's parents house and opened more gifts with them.  (There was an unintentional vehicle theme to Hayden's gifts this year...)
After that, we headed to my aunt and uncle's for Christmas Dinner with my extended family. We lost our picture-taking steam by that point but we still had a great (if not a bit exhausting) time! Until next year, Christmas!
