Enter if you dare

I have more creepy decor to share with you this morning; this time in our entry hall. I enjoyed decorating this small area of our home with lots of spooky props. Let's start with our hall console, shall we? I had some fun with picnik, adding some ghostly effects to the pictures. Here's what our console table would look like in a haunted house:
Yikes stripes! Here's what it looks like in real-non-haunted-house-life:
I bought cheese cloth and dyed it black using RIT dye. I draped this over the cabinet and then added elements to complete the vignette. Nick and I spent some time picking out our pumpkins at the pumpkin patch on Sunday. (His is the big orange one and I picked the two small white guys.)
Horror Movie Shot:
Real life:
I doctored some candle sticks to create those creepy lamps (more on that later). I chose a few votive holders from my mercury glass collection and also added cute Mr. Owl. (He's a recent purchase from West Elm.)
That white leaf dish was a clearance Pottery Barn find from last summer. It's full of M&Ms (for now...)
I also cut out some black card stock bats that swooped in to our home for the month of October:
That's not the only place the bats are hanging! If you move your eye down the hall to the foyer, you just might spy some more winged friends.
A little closer...
These guys are hanging from our light fixture, over our very creepy round table:
On this table we have Old Mr. Crow,
A skull, and a mini graveyard:
I made the "tombstones" from gray card stock attached to toothpicks. Then Nick and I tried to come up with slightly amusing names to stamp on them- clearly we didn't succeed... We have a couple other small  Halloween-y spaces in our home, but the front hall is really where it's at. Anyone else jumped on the creepy decor bandwagon? Or love Halloween like we do?
